Temptation!!!

After weeks resisting I gave in after I saw Georgie's package arriving at hers! http://whoomsa.blogspot.com/
My excuse...it is an early birthday present. Actually it won't be that early when it gets here as it is only a few more weeks :-) Perfect!!!

Here you can see the design plus more information:

Update!

Finally an update...

First of all we went to Colorado to spend a few days with Katrina (http://theneedlespromise.blogspot.com/) and we sure had lots of fun. Katrina picked us up at Denver Airport and in the next few days we saw a lot of the area. Beside going to see the sights we also went to Fanci Mats in Denver and I managed to add some more to my stash. We chatted a lot and managed to get some stitching done too!! I also met Danya and Vicky who are in my stitching group at Yahoo. It was great fun to meet them as well and we had a lovely afternoon where we chatted and stitched together.

While we were in Colorado we got the terrible news one of our friends from our little stitching group online died at the very young age of 50. Sue Clout of New Zealand has been a friend for many years and we did do a lot of chatting online and we also did a lot of exchanges. We also had been in a few Round Robins together. Even though we never met in real life we got to know each other so well and it is such a loss. The gifts she has stitched me I will treasure and we will miss her stories about her life, stitching and New Zealand! My thoughts are with her husband and 3 children. She was an amazing woman!

Fast forward...where has the summer gone??? DD is back to school and went to a new one. She started Middle School and is taking the bus now. A change for her as well as for me! I am still allowed to walk her to the bus stop in the morning though LOL. My little girl is growing up fast, it feels it was only yesterday I brought her to Kindergarten.

Summer time!

View on Central Park from hubby's work place!

The girls needed to get some M&M's from the M&M's store on Times Square. Never imagined that many merchandise possible with the M&M logo on it!!! :-)

Times Square! Never boring!

Nice surprise waiting for us at our suite in Washington DC!

The White House.
Hubby and daughter in front of the Capitol where we had a great tour and were invited by the Senator of Ohio to go into the Senate and even sat down there!!!

Wow what a summer we have!! The weather is wonderful (what a difference with the summers we had in Ireland LOL) and we enjoying our life in the USA. For the last 2 weeks we had visitors and the 2nd week hubby was off as well. Lots of time to do some sightseeing. We went to Washington DC and yes on our way back to New Jersey we stopped at Needlecraft Corner and got some more stash!! We also went to NYC many times and saw a lot there as well. We drove trough New Jersey a bit more and did lots of shopping with our guests as well. The strong Euro made it worthwhile for them!!
They went back to the Netherlands and in a few days my daughter and I will fly to Colorado to spend a few days with my friend Katrina http://theneedlespromise.blogspot.com/ . That will be our last trip this summer and when we get back home we will have 2 more weeks before DD needs to go back to school.
Stitching wise I did do a little bit more on my Little House Needleworks and I started and finished Shepherd's Bush Americana Roll. I had no time to made photos so that will be included in my next post!
