My first finish of 2009!

Happy New Year!

We celebrated New Year's Eve on Times Square and it was amazing to be there instead of watching it all these years on TV.

I finished my first one of 2009 today and it is 'Holly and Ivy' from Shepherds' Bush. I was fortunate enough to have this class with Teri and Tina in Phoenix during the Attic's Sampler Symposium last November. What an experience!! I went with my friend Katrina and we had a ball!

The most gorgeous pinkeep. Katrina said it was her first pinkeep ever! You can not tell as it so perfectly finished!!!

A start and a finish

I have joined Becky's Let's Stitch blog where she motivates us to get stitching!! :-) Last week we had UFO night and I decided to stitch on Little House Needlework's Curly Q Ewe which has been neglected for a long time. The only thing to be stitched was the alphabet!! As you can see I did manage to get it finished!!

On Friday nights we have a SAL (Stitch-a-long) and we can stitch on whatever we want and on Saturday morning you have to post the before and after photo. Three of us decided to stitch on

Shepherd's Bush Sail Away and here you see my progress after 2 Friday nights. This week is Sampler week but I need to finish my Sue's Memorial Exchange as that is due to send out on the 15th.
Also managed to order more stash (thanks Katrina !!) . The Morning Glory kit from The Drawn Thread, a special kit where 10% of the sales will be donated to Unicef.
